A note for parents on online safety

Posted Date: 04/21/26 (11:43 AM)

Families,

Please take a moment to review the attached graphic. It's a clear, practical guide to some of the online risks our kids face — including apps like Discord, direct messaging, and harmful viral trends — and specific steps we can take as parents.

The core message is simple: Talk. Ask. Listen. Protect.

A few things worth doing this week:

• Ask your child what apps they use and who they talk to online
• Keep devices in common areas, especially at night
• Let them know they can come to you with anything, judgment-free

This graphic was made by a mother who lost her daughter. The best way we can honor her story is to have these conversations with our own kids.
