Subject: Updated Volunteer Chaperone Procedure Effective January 2025
Dear Parents, Guardians, and Community Members,
The safety and well-being of our students remain our highest priority, both on and off campus. Beginning January 2025, all individuals wishing to volunteer as chaperones for school outings will be required to undergo a background check before participating.
This updated procedure not only strengthens student safety but also expands opportunities for extended family members, family friends, and community volunteers to accompany students on school trips. By completing the background check process, more individuals can contribute to creating meaningful and enriching experiences for our students beyond the immediate family or guardianship circle.
