Letter From Superintendent
Dear Panther Families,

Every year during the month of November, I slow down and take a few moments to reflect on the experiences that I have had, and the people that I have met over the course of the past year. I take time and make a conscious effort to reach out and show those whom I appreciate what they mean to me, and the impact they've had on my life both professionally and personally.

The team we have this year working for the success of our young Panthers is INCREDIBLE and I am thankful every day for them! Each staff member is working their tails off to ensure that our campus feels the impact of the past few years a little less. They pitch in whenever and wherever they are needed to ensure our students are filling those learning gaps, feeling loved and SUCCESSFUL.They are truly an amazing team of educators and I feel very fortunate to have them as my teammates. Please take some time to reach out and show them some love this month. I promise you, they’ll appreciate it!

November 13th marks the end of our first trimester! Report cards will be distributed at Parent-Teacher Conferences on November 15th, 2024. Those attending conferences virtually will receive their student’s report cards Thursday, November 14th. The report card is a progress report and represents the growth achieved during each trimester. It informs you and your child about areas of success as well as areas of potential growth. Their academic career is a life-long journey. You can help your child to succeed by celebrating their accomplishments and encouraging their continued growth through goal setting. By helping them in this process, you demonstrate your support and motivate your child to continue to strive for excellence in their life-long learning journey.

I hope you all have a fabulous November and I look forward to making many more memories with all of you!

Sincerely,
Melissa Schnitzmeier, Principal/Superintendent Pioneer Elementary

As the air gets crisp and the days get shorter, it’s the perfect time to cozy up with a good book!
During the month of October we continued work on skills from the previous month.
Looking for ways to encourage reading at home? Try designating a “family reading night” where everyone in the family reads together for 20 minutes. It’s a great way to model good reading habits and enjoy quality time as a family.
The fun isn’t over when a story ends— it’s just beginning! Build a story pyramid. A story pyramid is a great way to help children summarize and retain key story details. This helps children focus on the core aspects of the story while encouraging them to identify important details and think critically about what they read.
Line 1: The main character’s name
Line 2: Two words describing that character
Line 3: Three words describing the setting
Line 4: Four words explaining the problem
Line 5: Five words telling the conclusion

Thank you for supporting our library!
Happy reading!
Panther PTA News
Happy November Panthers!

Now more than ever we need your support!

Each fundraising effort and PTA Dinner Night Out helps raise vital funding for the PTA which in turn goes to support our students and campus. These funds help to host twice monthly hot lunches and weekly pizza Thursdays. They send our Panthers on field trips and support our classroom teachers with needed school supplies, curriculum, and materials for projects. They allow us to host community events such as our Pancake Breakfast, Stone Soup, and the Chili Cook-Off!

WE NEED YOU!

November brings with it several opportunities to help raise funding for our Panther PTA. This month, we are trying a new fundraiser for the holiday season, we will be selling holiday wreaths! This is all done online and orders must be submitted by December 1st. More information will be sent out in the next day or so.

We are actively looking for Panther families to become active members of our PTA! For just $6.00 you can join our Panther PTA family and work to make a difference here on campus! Interested in joining? Send Mrs. S an email and we'll get you squared away!
