Letter From Superintendent

Dear Panther Families,

Spring is here, and with it comes that final push toward the end of the school year. Classrooms are buzzing with energy, and you can feel the momentum building as students and staff work hard to finish strong.

This time of year is about reflection and growth. While students prepare for testing and wrap up projects, we’re also planning ahead—looking at what’s working, what can improve, and how we can better serve our school community.

One key way you can help us with that planning is by filling out the annual Climate Survey (linked below). This survey gives us important insight into what we’re doing well and where we need to grow. It directly impacts our goals, priorities, and decision-making for the upcoming year. Your voice matters—please take a few minutes to complete it.

Some quick updates:

🍎Testing season is upon us. Let’s encourage our students to rest, refuel, and remember that these tests are just one snapshot of all they’ve accomplished.

💐Spring events are blooming! Keep an eye on calendars for upcoming performances, field trips, and end-of-year celebrations.

📚Planning for next year is already in motion. We’re reflecting on what’s working, what needs to grow, and how we can continue to raise the bar.

Thank you for your continued support and for being a part of this amazing school community.

Please don’t forget to stay connected and “Like” Pioneer Elementary on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/pioneerelementarydistrict41/ and also visit our school webpage at http://pioneerschool.us/.

Let’s finish this year with pride, purpose, and plenty of celebration.

Sincerely,
Melissa Schnitzmeier

The Importance of Reading Reading is more than just a fun activity—it’s a powerful tool for learning and growth! Books help improve vocabulary, enhance imagination, and develop critical thinking skills. Reading regularly also strengthens concentration and builds empathy by allowing readers to experience different perspectives. Encouraging a love of reading at a young age sets children up for lifelong success. So, let’s make reading a daily habit!
Reminder: Return Your Books! Please return any overdue books before the end of the month. Let’s keep our library shelves full and ready for all readers!
We look forward to an exciting and book-filled April! Happy reading!
